Welcome to the website dedicated to propagating Jesus Prayer.

Jesus Prayer was born out of the search for unceasing prayer. It is one of the oldest forms of Christian meditation, whose tradition dates back to the Desert Fathers in the 4th century. It has been practised at Mount Athos for more than 1,000 years. It is a form of non-discursive prayer also called the Prayer of the Heart.

On this website you will find articles which might be helpful while embarking on the path of Christian meditation on your own as well as information about meditation courses/sessions and retreats held at the Centre of Spiritual Formation , a Jesuit centre in Kalisz (Poland) where this site is being created, and at the Carmelite Monastery in Tromsø (Northern Norway) and in others Catholic centers in Europe.
